Quote & Cut includes checkout settings that control how Quote & Cut delivery methods interact with normal WooCommerce shipping methods.
You can find these settings from:
Quote & Cut → Settings → Checkout & Delivery
When Quote & Cut parts are in the cart #
This setting controls what WooCommerce shipping methods are shown when the cart contains Quote & Cut parts.
There are three options.
Show all WooCommerce shipping methods #
This shows all normal WooCommerce shipping methods alongside Quote & Cut delivery methods.
Use this if your existing shipping setup already handles laser-cut parts correctly.
Hide delivery methods, but keep Local Pickup / Collection #
This hides normal delivery methods but keeps collection or pickup methods.
This is the recommended option for many stores.
Use this if Quote & Cut should control delivery pricing for laser-cut parts, while still allowing customers to collect orders.
Hide all non-Quote & Cut shipping methods #
This hides all shipping methods that are not Quote & Cut delivery methods.
Use this if customers should only see Quote & Cut delivery options when laser-cut parts are in the cart.
Quote & Cut delivery methods #
Quote & Cut delivery methods are:
- Courier Delivery.
- Pallet Delivery.
- Lorry Delivery.
These are configured in WooCommerce shipping zones.
Collection / pickup method IDs #
The Collection / pickup method IDs field tells Quote & Cut which WooCommerce shipping methods should be treated as collection or pickup.
The default is:
local_pickup
Leave this as local_pickup unless you use a custom collection plugin or a custom shipping method.
If you use multiple pickup methods, enter the method IDs separated by commas.
Example:
local_pickup,custom_collection
Important checkout note #
These checkout visibility settings only apply when the cart contains Quote & Cut parts.
Normal WooCommerce products continue to use your normal WooCommerce shipping setup.
Testing checkout behaviour #
After changing checkout settings:
- Add a Quote & Cut job to the cart.
- Open the cart or checkout.
- Check which shipping methods are shown.
- Test a normal WooCommerce product separately.
- Confirm the checkout behaves correctly for both order types.
