Quote & Cut job details can appear in WooCommerce order emails.

This helps customers and staff see what was ordered without opening the WooCommerce admin area.

Where email details appear #

Quote & Cut adds part details to WooCommerce order item sections in HTML emails.

The exact appearance depends on your WooCommerce email template and theme customisations.

Details that may appear #

Emails may include:

  • File name.
  • Material.
  • Part quantity.
  • Material and cutting cost per part.
  • Weight per component.
  • Part preview image.
  • Powder coating colour, if Advanced is active.
  • Folding cost per part, if Advanced is active.
  • Powder coating cost per part, if Advanced is active.

Thumbnails in emails #

For Quote & Cut job items, the normal WooCommerce product thumbnail is removed from the email layout.

Quote & Cut can show part preview information inside the job details instead.

Customer email use #

Customer emails help the customer confirm what they ordered.

They are useful for:

  • Order confirmation.
  • Customer records.
  • Checking selected material.
  • Checking quantities.
  • Checking Secondary Process choices.

Admin email use #

Admin emails help your team see that an order contains Quote & Cut parts.

However, production should still be reviewed from the WooCommerce order screen because the full file download sections are available there.

Plain text emails #

Quote & Cut’s richer job display is designed for HTML email templates.

If your store sends plain text emails, the display may be simpler.

If email details do not look right #

Check:

  • WooCommerce email templates are not heavily customised.
  • Your theme is not overriding order item email markup.
  • Email customiser plugins are not removing item metadata.
  • The order contains Quote & Cut job data.
  • The quote was added to cart after calculation.

Recommended test #

Place a test order and check:

  • Customer processing order email.
  • Admin new order email.
  • Completed order email, if used.
  • Mobile email display.
  • Desktop email display.

Make sure the information is clear enough for customers and staff.
