Applies to: Advanced, Enterprise
Quote & Cut Advanced can add a Secondary Processes step to the Quote & Cut setup wizard.
This step helps you set starter limits for folding and powder coating.
You can open the setup wizard from:
Quote & Cut → Setup Wizard
What the Advanced wizard step does #
The Advanced wizard step can help you:
- Enable folding for the shop.
- Choose a press brake preset.
- Set maximum foldable length.
- Enable powder coating for the shop.
- Choose a booth or oven size preset.
- Set powder coating limits.
- Set a starter powder coverage rate.
- Pre-load the standard RAL palette.
What the wizard does not do #
The setup wizard does not fully configure Advanced pricing.
After finishing the wizard, you still need to go to:
Quote & Cut → Secondary Processes
Then complete:
- Folding setup fee.
- Folding price per fold.
- Folding minimum charge.
- Folding surcharge bands.
- Folding allowed materials.
- Folding allowed thicknesses.
- Powder colour prices.
- Powder finish prices.
- Powder setup fees.
- Powder minimum charge.
- Powder per-part charge.
- Other Colour settings.
Folding wizard options #
The folding section can show:
Enable folding for this shop
This means customers will be offered folding when their part fits within your configured limits.
The wizard lets you choose the press brake closest to yours.
These presets help set size and weight limits, but they do not set fold prices.
Maximum foldable length #
The wizard can set a maximum foldable length in millimetres.
This should match your machine’s actual capability.
You can fine-tune this later from:
Quote & Cut → Secondary Processes → Folding
Powder coating wizard options #
The powder coating section can show:
Enable powder coating for this shop
This means customers will be offered powder coating when their part fits within your configured limits.
The wizard lets you choose the booth or oven size closest to yours.
These presets help set maximum part length, width, and weight.
Powder coverage rate #
The wizard includes a starter Powder coverage rate field.
This is entered in:
m²/kg
The wizard may suggest a mid-range starting value.
You should review this against your own coating process before going live.
Pre-load the standard RAL palette #
The wizard can pre-load the standard RAL palette.
This adds RAL colour rows to the powder coating colour table.
Important: the colours are added as a starting point, but prices still need to be filled in.
Do not go live until your powder colour and finish prices are configured.
If Advanced processing is paused in the wizard #
If your account does not currently include Advanced processing, the wizard fields may be shown for reference only.
Your saved settings are preserved, but you cannot use Secondary Processes for new quotes until your account includes Advanced or Enterprise access.
After finishing the wizard #
After finishing the setup wizard:
- Go to Quote & Cut → Secondary Processes.
- Review folding settings.
- Review powder coating settings.
- Add all required prices.
- Add all required limits.
- Save Secondary Processes.
- Test the frontend quote form.
Best practice #
Use the wizard only for starter setup.
Use the full Secondary Processes page for live pricing, restrictions, and customer-facing behaviour.
