Quote & Cut includes a diagnostics option to help administrators understand quote calculations and troubleshoot issues.

You can find this setting from:

Quote & Cut → Settings → Diagnostics

Enable Diagnostics #

Enable:

Enable frontend diagnostics for logged-in administrators

When this is enabled, logged-in administrators can see a detailed cost and time breakdown after a quote calculation.

Customers do not need to see this information.

Who can see diagnostics? #

Diagnostics are intended for logged-in site administrators.

Do not use diagnostics as customer-facing quote explanation text. It is designed to help you check calculations and support issues.

When to enable diagnostics #

Enable diagnostics when:

  • You are setting up Quote & Cut for the first time.
  • You are checking a pricing issue.
  • A quote result looks too high or too low.
  • You are comparing Quote & Cut pricing against manual pricing.
  • Support asks you to provide a calculation breakdown.

When to disable diagnostics #

Disable diagnostics when:

  • Setup and testing are complete.
  • You no longer need calculation breakdowns.
  • You want the admin quote-testing experience to match the customer experience more closely.

Troubleshooting with diagnostics #

When checking a pricing issue, run a test quote and review:

  • Material selected.
  • Quantity.
  • Cutting time.
  • Machine time cost.
  • Gas cost.
  • Sheet usage.
  • Handling or loading costs.
  • Markups.
  • Minimum price rules.
  • Secondary Process costs, if Advanced is active.

This helps you identify whether the issue is caused by material data, machine settings, pricing model, gas cost, markup, or another setting.

Useful checks before contacting support #

Before contacting support, check:

  • API key is saved.
  • Site binding is active.
  • Account status is connected.
  • WooCommerce is active.
  • Materials are configured.
  • The quote form page contains [quoteandcut].
  • The test DXF file is valid.
  • Generated order files are enabled if you expect files on the order.
  • Delivery methods are configured if checkout shipping is the issue.
  • Diagnostics are enabled if you need a pricing breakdown.

What to send to support #

If you need help, send:

  • Your website URL.
  • Your Quote & Cut account email.
  • A screenshot of the account status panel.
  • A screenshot of the error message.
  • The DXF file used for testing, if relevant.
  • The material and quantity selected.
  • The diagnostics breakdown, if relevant.
  • The WooCommerce order number, if the issue happened after checkout.

Do not publish your API key in screenshots or support tickets.
