This article explains how to install and activate the core Quote & Cut plugin.
Step 1: Open the WordPress plugin installer #
In your WordPress admin area, go to:
Plugins → Add New Plugin
Then choose Upload Plugin.
Step 2: Upload the plugin ZIP #
Select your Quote & Cut plugin ZIP file.
This is usually named:
quoteandcut.zip
Click Install Now.
Step 3: Activate the plugin #
After WordPress finishes installing the plugin, click Activate Plugin.
Quote & Cut will add a new Quote & Cut menu item to the WordPress admin menu.
Step 4: Make sure WooCommerce is active #
Quote & Cut requires WooCommerce.
If WooCommerce is missing or inactive, install and activate WooCommerce before continuing.
Step 5: Open Quote & Cut #
In the WordPress admin menu, go to:
Quote & Cut
You can also open:
Quote & Cut → Setup Wizard
The setup wizard may open automatically the first time the plugin is activated.
What the plugin creates #
During setup, Quote & Cut creates or prepares the internal WooCommerce product used for quote jobs.
This product is used behind the scenes when a customer adds laser-cut parts to the cart. Customers should not need to browse or purchase this product directly.
