The powder coating colour table controls which colours customers can choose on the quote form.
You can find the colour table from:
Quote & Cut → Secondary Processes → Powder Coating → Colours and finish prices
What the colour table contains #
Each colour row includes:
- Bulk edit checkbox.
- Enabled checkbox.
- Colour preview.
- Name.
- Finish prices.
- Remove action.
Enabled #
Tick Enabled for colours that customers should be able to choose.
Untick Enabled if you want to keep the colour in your settings but hide it from customers.
Preview #
The preview colour is used for the frontend colour picker.
This is only a visual guide.
It does not guarantee that the customer’s screen colour will match the final powder coating.
Name #
The Name is the customer-facing colour name.
Examples:
- RAL 9005.
- RAL 9010.
- RAL 7016.
- Black Fine Texture.
- Custom White.
Finish prices #
Each colour has price-per-kg fields for the available finish levels.
Finish prices control both pricing and availability.
If a finish price is blank, that finish is not available for that colour.
Adding a colour #
To add a colour:
- Go to Quote & Cut → Secondary Processes.
- Find Colours and finish prices.
- Click Add colour.
- Enter the colour name.
- Set the preview colour.
- Tick Enabled if customers should see it.
- Enter price-per-kg values for available finishes.
- Click Save Secondary Processes.
Removing a colour #
To remove a colour:
- Find the colour row.
- Click Remove.
- Click Save Secondary Processes.
Only remove colours if you are sure they should no longer be available.
If you may use the colour later, untick Enabled instead.
Bulk price editor #
The colour table includes a bulk price editor.
Use this to copy one or more finish prices to multiple selected colours.
Basic workflow:
- Tick the colours you want to update.
- Enter prices in the bulk price row.
- Click Apply.
- Review the updated rows.
- Click Save Secondary Processes.
Empty bulk price fields are ignored.
Default RAL colours #
Quote & Cut includes seeded RAL colour rows.
These give you a starting point for common RAL colours.
You still need to enter your own prices before colours can be priced correctly.
Restore default values #
The Restore default values action restores the seeded RAL colours.
Existing custom colour rows are left unchanged.
Use this if you removed or changed the seeded rows and want to bring them back.
Remove default values #
The Remove default values action removes the seeded RAL colours.
Custom colour rows are left unchanged.
Use this if you only want to offer your own custom colour list.
Best practice #
Before going live:
- Disable colours you do not offer.
- Add any common colours you do offer.
- Enter price-per-kg values for every available finish.
- Leave unavailable finish prices blank.
- Check the frontend colour picker.
- Run test quotes for different colours and finishes.
