Use this guide if folding or powder coating is not appearing, not pricing, or not behaving as expected.

Secondary Processes are not showing in WordPress #

If you cannot see the Secondary Processes page, check:

  • Quote & Cut is installed and active.
  • Quote & Cut Advanced is installed and active.
  • You are logged in as a WordPress administrator.
  • The plugin files were installed correctly.

Go to:

Plugins → Installed Plugins

Confirm that Quote & Cut Advanced is active.

Secondary Processes are paused #

If you see a message saying Secondary Processes are paused, your saved settings are preserved, but your connected Quote & Cut account does not currently include Advanced processing.

Check:

  • Your API key is connected.
  • Your site binding is active.
  • Your account includes Advanced or Enterprise.
  • Account status has been refreshed.
  • Your subscription or plan is active.

Go to:

Quote & Cut → Settings

Then click:

Refresh account status

Folding does not appear on the quote form #

  • Folding is enabled.
  • Setup fee per different folded part is configured.
  • Price per fold is configured.
  • Minimum folding charge is configured.
  • Maximum folding length is greater than zero.
  • Maximum folding width is greater than zero.
  • Maximum folding weight is greater than zero.
  • The selected material is allowed.
  • The selected thickness is allowed.

Powder coating does not appear on the quote form #

  • Maximum powder coating weight is greater than zero.
  • Powder coverage rate is greater than zero.

A colour appears but a finish is missing #

A finish is shown only when that colour has a price entered for that finish.

Go to:

Quote & Cut → Secondary Processes → Colours and finish prices

Find the colour and check the price fields for:

  • Textured.
  • Matte 30±5.
  • Semi Glossy 60±5.
  • Glossy 80±5.

If a price is blank, that finish is unavailable for the colour.

Other Colour prevents price calculation #

This is expected.

The Other Colour option is designed for manual quote enquiries.

If a customer selects Other Colour, automatic pricing is unavailable until they remove it or choose a priced colour.

If you do not want this behaviour, disable Other Colour.

Folding drawing upload fails #

Check:

  • The file type is supported.
  • The file is 20 MB or smaller.
  • Total folding drawing uploads are 100 MB or less for the quote.
  • The file is not corrupt.
  • Your server allows file uploads.
  • WordPress can write to the Quote & Cut job folder.

Supported file types are:

  • PDF.
  • DXF.
  • DWG.
  • JPG.
  • JPEG.
  • PNG.
  • STEP.
  • STP.

The customer says folding is missing for one part only #

This usually means that part failed a folding rule.

Check:

  • Part length.
  • Part width.
  • Single-part weight.
  • Selected material.
  • Selected thickness.

Folding is checked per part, not per whole quote.

The customer says powder coating is missing for one part only #

This usually means that part failed a powder coating rule.

Check:

  • Part length.
  • Part width.
  • Single-part weight.
  • Powder coating settings.
  • Enabled colours.
  • Finish prices.

Powder coating is checked per part, not per whole quote.

Prices look too low #

  • Powder price per kg.
  • Per-part powder coating charge.
  • Size surcharge bands.
  • Weight surcharge bands.

  • Base laser cutting price.
  • Quantity.

Enable diagnostics if you need to review the cost breakdown.

  • Surcharge bands.
  • Powder coverage rate.
  • Powder price per kg.
  • Quantity.
  • Whether multiple colours are creating multiple colour setup fees.
