Powder coating finish levels let you offer different coating finishes for each colour.
You can find finish prices from:
Quote & Cut → Secondary Processes → Powder Coating → Colours and finish prices
Available finish levels #
Quote & Cut includes four finish levels:
- Textured.
- Matte 30±5.
- Semi Glossy 60±5.
- Glossy 80±5.
These finish levels are built into the plugin.
You set availability by entering or leaving blank the price for each colour and finish combination.
Textured #
Use Textured for powder coatings with a textured surface finish.
Enter a price per kg in the Textured column for each colour where this finish is available.
Matte 30±5 #
Use Matte 30±5 for matte powder coatings.
Enter a price per kg in the Matte 30±5 column for each colour where this finish is available.
Semi Glossy 60±5 #
Use Semi Glossy 60±5 for semi-gloss powder coatings.
Enter a price per kg in the Semi Glossy 60±5 column for each colour where this finish is available.
Glossy 80±5 #
Use Glossy 80±5 for glossy powder coatings.
Enter a price per kg in the Glossy 80±5 column for each colour where this finish is available.
How finish availability works #
A finish is available for a colour only when that colour has a price entered for that finish.
Example:
| Colour | Textured | Matte 30±5 | Semi Glossy 60±5 | Glossy 80±5 |
| RAL 9005 | 12.00 | 10.00 | 11.50 |
In this example, customers can select:
- Textured.
- Matte 30±5.
- Glossy 80±5.
They cannot select Semi Glossy 60±5 for this colour because the price is blank.
Finish prices are per kg #
Finish prices are entered as price per kg of powder.
Quote & Cut estimates the powder required using the coated area and coverage rate, then applies the selected finish price.
Why different finishes can have different prices #
Different finishes may have different powder costs, availability, setup requirements, or supplier pricing.
Use separate prices when the cost differs by finish.
Customer selection #
On the frontend quote form, customers first choose the powder colour, then choose an available finish level.
The finish dropdown is filtered based on the selected colour.
Testing finish levels #
Before going live, test:
- A colour with all finish prices filled in.
- A colour with only one finish available.
- A colour with some finish prices blank.
- A disabled colour.
- A new custom colour.
Confirm the frontend only shows valid finish options.
