Quote & Cut Advanced adds Secondary Process options to the customer quote form.

These options appear per part when Advanced is active, configured, and available for the selected part.

Secondary Processes section #

On the frontend quote form, customers may see a section called:

Secondary processes

Depending on your settings, this can include:

  • Add folding.
  • Add powder coating.

Add Secondary Processes shortcut #

In some layouts, customers may see an Add Secondary Processes control in the part header area.

This opens or highlights the Secondary Processes section for that part.

Per-part options #

Secondary Processes are selected per part.

This means a customer can upload multiple DXF files and choose different finishing options for each one.

Example:

  • Part 1: Folding only.
  • Part 2: Powder coating only.
  • Part 3: Folding and powder coating.
  • Part 4: No Secondary Processes.

Folding on the quote form #

When folding is available and selected, the customer can enter:

  • Number of folds.
  • Fold notes / instructions.
  • Folding drawing upload.

The number of folds is required when folding is selected.

The folding drawing is optional.

Folding drawing upload #

The folding drawing upload lets customers attach supporting information for folded parts.

Supported file types include:

  • PDF.
  • DXF.
  • DWG.
  • JPG.
  • JPEG.
  • PNG.
  • STEP.
  • STP.

Folding drawing upload limits are covered in the Secondary Processes documentation.

Powder coating on the quote form #

When powder coating is available and selected, the customer can choose:

  • Colour.
  • Finish level.

The colour picker can include searchable RAL colours and custom colour rows configured by the site admin.

Colour search #

The colour picker includes a search field so customers can find a RAL colour more easily.

The search placeholder may show:

Find RAL…

Colour preview #

Colour swatches are shown as a guide only.

Customers should not treat screen colours as an exact match for the final coated finish.

Finish level #

The finish dropdown is filtered by the selected colour.

A finish is available only if that colour has a price for the finish level.

The built-in finish levels are:

  • Textured.
  • Matte 30±5.
  • Semi Glossy 60±5.
  • Glossy 80±5.

Other Colour #

If enabled, Other Colour appears as a powder coating option.

When selected, automatic pricing is not available.

The customer is shown your manual quote message and contact button, if configured.

Why Advanced options may not show #

Advanced options may be hidden if:

  • Quote & Cut Advanced is not active.
  • Advanced processing is paused.
  • The process is not enabled.
  • Required pricing fields are incomplete.
  • The selected material is not allowed.
  • The selected thickness is not allowed.
  • The part is too long.
  • The part is too wide.
  • The part is too heavy.
  • Powder colours or finish prices are missing.

Customer messages #

When a process is not available, the form may explain that some finishing options are not available for the part.

Possible reasons include:

  • Exceeds the maximum length.
  • Exceeds the maximum width.
  • Exceeds the maximum weight.
  • Not available for the selected material.
  • Not available for the selected thickness.

Quote calculation #

When customers calculate the price, Advanced adds Secondary Process costs to the normal cutting quote.

The final total can include:

  • Base cutting price.
  • Folding total.
  • Powder coating total.
  • Secondary Process setup fees.
  • Minimum charges.
  • Surcharges.
