Before installing Quote & Cut, make sure your website and Quote & Cut account are ready.
Website requirements #
Your website needs:
- WordPress 6.7 or newer.
- PHP 7.4 or newer.
- WooCommerce installed and active.
- Permission to install and activate WordPress plugins.
- Permission to manage WooCommerce settings and products.
Quote & Cut uses WooCommerce for the cart, checkout, and order workflow.
The plugin does not work as a standalone quote form without WooCommerce.
Quote & Cut account requirements #
You need a Quote & Cut account before you can connect your website.
After signing up at quoteandcut.com, log in to your account and go to:
My Account → Quote & Cut API Keys
This is where you can find your:
- API key.
- Site binding details.
The API key connects your WordPress website to your Quote & Cut account so the plugin can process quote calculations and nesting requests.
The site binding connects your API key to the website where Quote & Cut is installed.
Downloading paid add-ons #
If you have purchased Quote & Cut Advanced or Quote & Cut Enterprise, you can download the extra plugin files from your Quote & Cut account.
Log in at quoteandcut.com and go to:
My Account → Downloads
From there, download the ZIP files for the add-ons included with your purchase.
Depending on your plan, you may have one or more plugin ZIP files, such as:
quoteandcut-advanced.zip— the Advanced add-on.quoteandcut-enterprise.zip— the Enterprise add-on.
Install the core Quote & Cut plugin first.
If you use Enterprise, install the plugins in this order:
- Quote & Cut.
- Quote & Cut Advanced.
- Quote & Cut Enterprise.
Enterprise requires both the core plugin and Advanced add-on to be installed and active.
Recommended preparation #
Before taking real customer orders, prepare:
- Your machine hourly rate.
- Your preferred pricing model.
- Your common sheet sizes.
- Your common materials and thicknesses.
- Your gas cost assumptions.
- Your handling, loading, markup, and minimum price rules.

The setup wizard can add starter values quickly, but you should review them against your real shop rates before going live.
