Quote & Cut delivery options are handled through WooCommerce shipping.

After checkout, the selected delivery or collection option is stored on the WooCommerce order like a normal shipping method.

Where to find delivery information #

Open the WooCommerce order:

WooCommerce → Orders → Open Order

Review:

  • Shipping method.
  • Shipping cost.
  • Shipping address.
  • Customer notes.
  • Order items.
  • Quote & Cut part information.

Quote & Cut delivery methods #

Quote & Cut includes these WooCommerce shipping methods:

  • Courier Delivery.
  • Pallet Delivery.
  • Lorry Delivery.

These are configured in:

WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Shipping Zones

Local pickup or collection #

If your checkout settings allow Local Pickup or collection methods, the customer may choose collection instead of delivery.

The selected pickup or collection method appears on the WooCommerce order as the shipping method.

Delivery method availability #

The delivery method shown at checkout depends on your WooCommerce shipping zone and Quote & Cut delivery rules.

For Quote & Cut jobs, delivery availability can depend on:

  • Customer shipping address.
  • Shipping zone.
  • Enabled Quote & Cut delivery methods.
  • Part size.
  • Total weight.
  • Courier limits.
  • Pallet limits.
  • Lorry limits.
  • Checkout visibility settings.
  • Local pickup settings.

Courier orders #

Courier Delivery is usually for smaller jobs that fit your configured courier size and weight limits.

When reviewing a courier order, check:

  • Total weight.
  • Largest part length.
  • Largest part width.
  • Packing requirements.
  • Shipping address.
  • Customer notes.

Pallet orders #

Pallet Delivery is usually for larger or heavier jobs.

When reviewing a pallet order, check:

  • Whether standard or large pallet rules were used.
  • Number of pallets expected.
  • Largest part dimensions.
  • Total weight.
  • Forklift or unloading requirements, if relevant.
  • Delivery address suitability.

Lorry orders #

Lorry Delivery is usually for oversized jobs or jobs that do not fit courier or pallet rules.

When reviewing a lorry order, check:

  • Part dimensions.
  • Total weight.
  • Delivery address.
  • Access restrictions.
  • Customer notes.
  • Whether delivery needs manual scheduling.

Mixed carts #

If the customer’s cart contains Quote & Cut jobs and other WooCommerce products, delivery behaviour depends on your checkout settings and WooCommerce shipping configuration.

Test mixed carts before going live if you sell normal WooCommerce products as well as Quote & Cut jobs.

If delivery looks wrong #

Check:

  • Quote & Cut delivery methods are added to the correct shipping zone.
  • Delivery method costs are configured.
  • Courier, pallet, and lorry limits are realistic.
  • Checkout visibility settings are correct.
  • Local pickup method IDs are configured correctly.
  • The customer address matched the expected shipping zone.
  • The quote included the expected part dimensions and weight.
