The Apply to All button helps customers quickly use the same material for every part in the quote.

This is useful when multiple DXF files should be cut from the same material and thickness.

Where the button appears #

The button appears next to the material selector.

Depending on the layout, it may be labelled:

  • Apply to All.
  • Apply to all.

How it works #

To use Apply to All:

  1. Choose a material on one part.
  2. Click Apply to All.
  3. Quote & Cut applies that material to all parts in the quote.

The customer should still check each part afterwards.

When to use Apply to All #

Use Apply to All when:

  • Every part uses the same material.
  • Every part uses the same thickness.
  • The customer uploaded many files at once.
  • The customer wants to avoid selecting material repeatedly.

When not to use Apply to All #

Do not use Apply to All if different parts need different materials or thicknesses.

For example, do not use it if:

  • Some parts are mild steel and others are stainless steel.
  • Some parts are 3 mm and others are 5 mm.
  • Only some parts are suitable for folding.
  • Only some parts need a material that supports a certain finish.

Apply to All and Secondary Processes #

Changing the material can affect whether Secondary Processes are available.

For example, folding may only be allowed on certain materials or thicknesses.

After using Apply to All, customers should check any folding or powder coating options again.

Apply to All resets the quote #

If a price was already calculated, changing materials means the quote must be recalculated.

The customer should click Calculate Price again after using Apply to All.

Best practice #

Apply to All is helpful for speed, but customers should still review each part before calculating the price.
